Dr. Joan Meehan

Dr. Joan Meehan founded Clayton Medical Associates in 1988. She is proud to have worked with patients in the Clayton area for over 20 years. After receiving her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 1980, Dr. Meehan completed her medical degree from Ohio University's College of Medicine in 1984. She completed her internship in Cleveland, OH and did her residency in Family Practice at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, OH, before returning to North Carolina.

Dr. Meehan lives in Raleigh with her husband, Joe, and their children.

Dr. Meehan is a board certified Diplomat of the:
• American Academy of Family Physicians

Dr. Meehan is a member of the following professional organizations:
• American Medical Association
• North Carolina Medical Society
• Wake County Medical Society

Dr Meehan maintains staff privileges at WakeMed Raleigh & Johnston Memorial Hospital and is an Associate Clinical Professor at University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
